“Miguel de Cervantes” award recognizes the creative work of Spanish and Latin American writers and is award by the Ministry of Education.
Born to an aristocratic family, Goytisolo published his first novel, The Young Assassins, in 1954 after studying laws. His deep opposition to Francisco Franco led him into exile in Paris in 1956
